Bought these a few years back for trekking. The fit is good and secure. Iv used these shoes on both wet and dry surfaces with varying results. The shoes give a very good grip on dry surfaces like rock faces, however i have found them to be really poor on flat wet rocky trails as they tend to slip and would not recommend using them during the rains, however they seemed to perfom decently in muddy trails.
