WARRANTY PROCESS (Columbia Sportswear, Buff & Deuter)

Warranty process for Website purchase

  • Product purchase on Columbia website in India need to be returned to our central warehouse and would be subject to inspection and quality check by our designated team.
  • Columbia Sportswear will take care of all costs of shipping for merchandise bought at
  • A mail to be shared with the customer care at with the images of the product. 
  • Customer must retain the receipt of the product and present it when returning the product.
  • Standard Turnaround Time is 3 weeks from date of receipt.
  • When the product is received under the warranty, we would replace it, repair it or offer exchange in lieu of the product.

Warranty process for Store purchase

  • The customer must retain the receipt of the product and present it when claiming a warranty at stores.
  • All Columbia products that fall under warranty policy need to be deposited at the nearest outlet for quality inspection.
  • The quality team updates on further procedure post checking if the defect is genuine.
  • Store team connects with the customer on final decision shared by product quality team.
  • In case, the claim is approved, it’s up to the sole discretion of Chogori India Retail Ltd. whether to provide a free repair or replacement.
  • In case, the same replacement article is not available, any other available article(s) of similar value may be provided, since we do not have any refund policy.

Warranty Exclusions

  • Our warranties cover mainly manufacturing defects.
  • Our warranty does not cover damages that result from accident, misuse, abuse or negligence of the product.
  • It does not cover normal wear and tear or damages such as abrasion, scratches or fading.
  • The warranty also does not cover incidental or consequential damages, such as damage to, or loss of, the contents of a bag, loss of use, loss of time, or similar expenses.
  • If the product has already been repaired outside of CIRL, this would make the warranty void.
  • Above warranty does not apply to baselayers, accessories or any of the merchandise bought under any of the discount schemes.

Return & Exchange Policy & Instructions

  • The return request is raised within 30 days of receipt of goods.
  • Your apparel/accessory must be in original and unworn condition, with all tags intact.

Cancel And Return Policy

  1. Cancellation- Cancellation of any article is allowed before the order gets shipped. In case an order is in transit, it can’t be cancelled.
  2. Return- Returns can be done within 30 days on online purchases in case of non-requirement but the product/s must be in resalable/Unworn/and all tags attached condition.

Instructions For Return

Step 1: Visit and sign in to your account.
Step 2: Visit the ‘My Orders’ section in your account and click on the ‘RETURN’ tab and confirm your RETURN. Alternatively, you can email us at with the exact reason of return along with your invoice number.
Step 3: Upon receipt of confirmation, we will arrange the reverse pick up.
Step 4: On receipt of your product for return, the item(s) will be verified to ensure it is unworn and in original condition with tags and/or box intact. Confirmation of receipt of the returned article will be sent to you post which the request of return will be processed. This typically takes 7-10 working days.

Exchange Policy & Instructions For Stores :-

  • The exchange request is raised within 30 days of purchase.
  • Exchanges will be restricted to size changes and style changes, of the similar MRP and subject to availability.
  • Your apparel/accessory must be in original and unworn condition, with all tags intact.
  • Your footwear/equipment must be in original and unworn condition, with the original box in new condition.
  • Used baselayers, accessories and discounted merchandise will not be exchanged.

Things To Note:

Currently, we are not offering any exchange policy, hence, you need to place a new order once the existing order is returned and the same passes all quality checks. The money shall be refunded back to the original source of payment.

Emi Terms and Conditions

Terms and conditions relating to EMI on Bank Debit Cards "EMI" or "Equated Monthly Installment" means the equated monthly installment of amounts payable by the Card Member to Bank comprising of principal amount, interest and any/ or other charges, if applicable. "Debit Card EMI" refers to the conversion into EMI upon request by the Card Member, of transactions performed using the Debit Card at Pinelabs EDC (Electronic Data Capture) terminal and/or for such online transactions, where the option for such conversion is available.

Bank shall be entitled to, at its sole discretion, make available to individual Card Member, EMI on the Debit Card, without prejudice to the obligation of the Card Member to make Immediate payment on the incurring of the charge, the Card Member may, seek to avail of the option of paying for certain purchases through Equated Monthly Installments (EMIs).

The decision of conversion of EMI as per customer request lies at the discretion of Bank To provide this facility Bank will lien mark the deposit.

The following terms will apply on the deposit which will be lien marked:

  1. The maximum limit which can be offered to customers will be 90% of the fixed deposit principal value and 85% for FCNR fixed deposits The EMI tenure opted should be less than the deposit maturity date, failing which Bank reserves the right to either reject the EMI conversion request or auto renew the fixed deposit If all conditions are met the transaction amount is disbursed into customers account on 2nd working day from date of transaction.
  2. Post which the EMI will be debited on a monthly basis from customers account Once a Card Member has opted for payment by EMIs, any subsequent change will attract a preclosure charge as may from time to time be fixed by Bank depending upon the nature of the purchase; for such cases complete interest will be recovered.
  3. The EMI facility will be available with respect to the Debit Card which presently comprise of the following purchases, viz., New purchases at Merchant Establishment The EMI facility is available to the Card Member at Bank's sole discretion and such facility will be available: For such period and at such Merchant Establishments as Bank may decide; The interest component of the EMIs will be Card Member and Merchant specific as decided by Bank; The amount of down payment, the amount of transaction fee, the tenure for the payment of Instant EMIs and other payment particulars will be Card Member and Merchant specific as Bank may decide.
  4. The Card member shall be charged an interest rate on monthly reducing basis, for availing the EMI facility. This interest will be will also be mentioned on the charge-slip in addition to other important terms and conditions.


  1. The card member shall repay the facility and interest thereon in EMIs. The interest shall be at such rate which has been indicated by Bank to the card member at the time of making the offer for the facility and as also as communicated to the card member on the charge-slip. The interest calculation will start from the time the transaction has been booked for the facility.
  2. The card member hereby authorises Bank to debit the account of the card member on a monthly basis for the amount of EMI due for that particular month.
  3. The card member should maintain required balance in his account to pay the entire amount of the EMI for a particular month on the due date, and the same shall not be permitted to be carried forward/included in the next month.
  4. In the event the payment is not made by the due date as specified, it shall be construed as a default by the card member and card member shall become liable to pay the amount. The outstanding installment will be recovered from the Fixed Deposit lien marked with us and customer may have to incure prewithdrawal charges.

Prepayment of Facility

  1. The card member may close the facility (prepayment of the outstanding amount) at any time by contacting Bank's Customer Care to avail of the foreclosure. The card member has to call up the call centre for complete prepayment of the facility. For prepayment of complete EMI amount complete interest amount as applicable for tenure opted during the transaction/modification shall be charged. Customer authorises Bank to collect the complete interest amount applicable. Bank shall, without prejudice to all rights and remedies, have the right to call upon the card member to forthwith repay the Facility, all interest thereon and all other monies in respect of the facility upon occurrence of event of default in payment of EMI for more than two consecutive months and the card member shall be liable to repay all such amounts upon such demand.

Cancellation of Facility

  1. The card member may cancel the facility within 15 days of date of transaction. The customer can request for a cancellation at the customer care. In the case of cancellation, the original transaction amount which was converted into EMI shall be debited back to the customer account and all charges relating to such EMI conversion shall be reversed, but only if the card member has called up within 15 days from the date of transaction.

Particulr Affirmative Covenants

  1. The card member has understood Bank's method of calculating EMIs payable.
  2. The card member shall renew the card forthwith in the event the period of the card expires during the tenure of the facility. In the event of failure of the card member to renew the card as stated above, Bank shall be entitled to call upon the card member to forthwith repay the facility without prejudice to all rights and remedies against the card member.
  3. The card member shall notify Bank, in writing, of any change in the card member's address within a week of such change.
  4. The card member is deemed to have accepted these terms and conditions upon the card member having requested for the facility.
  5. Repayment by the card member of the entire amount of the facility to Bank shall release the Term Deposit for usage by customer.
  6. The card member shall make payment of all taxes, duties, levies (including service tax) in connection with the facility.
  7. The card member's commission of a breach of any of the terms and conditions along with covenants herein contained or having made any misrepresentation to Bank.

  9. The card member's having been declared as an insolvent.
  10. Any proceedings for misconduct having been initiated against the card member
  11. The card member's entering into any composition with his/her creditors.
  12. The card member's defaulting on any of the terms and conditions of any other loan or facility provided by Bank to the card member.
  13. The existence of any other circumstances which, in the sole opinion of Bank, jeopardise Bank's interest.

Loyalty Program Terms And Conditions

  1. Open to every individual.
  2. Member’s mobile phone number would be his / her unique identification number for the membership.
  3. Complete name (first name and last name) and mobile number are mandatory for registration in the program.
  4. Upon successful registration to the Program, members accept that the membership is governed by these terms & conditions and may be amended from time to time.
  5. There is no membership fee for registration.
  6. Members, who have shared their date of birth at the time of registration, will also be rewarded with some bonus points on their birthday.
  7. The validity of points accumulated in any calendar year shall be one year from the date of earning the points.
  8. Periodic updates on the number of ‘points accumulated’ and ‘points nearing expiry shall be sent to members on their mobile numbers through text messages.
  9. The membership points, benefits & privileges are non-transferable & may only be used by the member.
  10. The use of the privileges and associated benefits are deemed to be an acceptance of terms and conditions.
  11. The management reserves the right to terminate the membership with all points forfeited without prior notice if the member:
    • Breaches any membership terms and conditions
    • Behaves in an unruly manner while in store premises
